Professionalism
When mistakes were made, I corrected them in a timely manner and discussed with relevant stakeholders to ensure they wouldn’t occur again.
Critical Thinking/Problem Solving
Tested multiple methods of Object avoidance methods to best reduce the risk of a UR5e arm on humans. Successfully implemented a composite solution that succeeded in preventing collisions in 100% of tests.
Strong Oral Communication
Led multi-disciplinary teams ensuring clear and concise communication. Have 5 years of experience teaching people of all ages and have learnt many different methods for doing so.
Leadership
Led both academic and professional projects as team lead managing to meet or exceed management expectations. In 1 case resulting in the conclusion of a industry project 1 month ahead of schedule.
Academic Projects
Algae Panel
Competent at rapid development and prototyping as part of a team.
Enabled the prototyping and testing of a smart management system for monitoring and controlling the temperature and water flow into an algae bio-panel.
Object Recognition and Grasping
Utilised complex robotic methods to rapidly solve difficult simulated tasks.
Designed a ROS-based robotic solution utilising RGB-D camera information to locate and grasp simulated objects via RANSAC and segmentation methods.
Robot Bartender
Proficient in individual problem solving, and effective task and time management.
Allowed the development of a drink serving robot that went on to becoming the gold standard for the university subject (Industrial Robotics, UTS, Gavin Paul).
Professional Projects
7DOF Robotic Arm
Developed the software stack for a Space based startup, and developed a multinetwork containerised ROS Docker Setup for offloading time sensitive and critical tasks.
This was utilised in the design and testing of a low weight space robotic arm completing NASA phase B goals.
ACFR WAM-V System
Adaptable and quick to learn I excel in collaborative environments
This was demonstrated working at ACFR (Australian Centre for Field Robotics) in which I worked on the ongoing WAM-V Project, and aided testing of autonomous submersibles and in house production of corrodible drop fuses.
Research
Thesis: Development, simulation and use of low weight robotic arms for the capture of uncooperative satellites.
Strong research skills.
I took advantage of this to develop new ways to control a robotic arm in space.
