ACFR Marine Team
I communicate well through skills such as active listening & effective storytelling. Key skills when trying to understand, explain or present. These skills allowed me to quickly join the established ACFR (Australian Centre for Field Robotics) Marine team and aid them in the testing and launch of multiple different AUVs (autonomous underwater vehicles) as well as the WAM-V.
Created Test Rig, Tested and Presented results and cost benefit analysis of in-house production of zinc corrodible drop fuses.
Shared opinions on object detection for the WAM-V project, then created code to prove my statements, which showed submarine object detection at up to 30m.
Working at ACFR (Australian Centre for Field Robotics) was my first foray into Engineering in the Industry. From it, I learnt what is required of me by the industry. Engineers are not construction workers. Instead, they are interpreters, translators, designers and testers.
